Why we exist

Finding a good agent should not feel like a gamble

Buying, selling or renting a home is a big step. But finding a good agent is often hard. You get calls from people you do not know, and you cannot tell who is real.

So we started LocalAgent. We review every agent by hand first. Only the agents we approve are added to the platform.

Our aim is bigger, too. We want to help you meet agents who know your own area well, down to your lane and society. That takes time, and we are building it step by step.

Verified does not mean

  • A guarantee about any agent, property or deal.
  • Legal, financial or tax advice.
  • A replacement for your own checks and questions.

What does "verified" mean on LocalAgent?

It means our team reviewed the agent by hand and approved them before they were added to LocalAgent. It is never automatic.

Are all agents on LocalAgent verified?

Yes. An agent is added to LocalAgent only after our team has verified them by hand. Agents who are not verified yet do not appear on the platform.

Is a verified agent a guarantee?

No. Verified means we reviewed the agent. It is not a guarantee about any agent, property or deal. Please ask questions, check the papers and take legal advice where needed.

Can an agent verify themselves?

No. Only our team can approve an agent. An agent cannot give themselves the badge.

How does an agent become verified?

The agent applies through the Join as an Agent page. Our team reviews the application by hand. If we approve it, the agent is added to LocalAgent as a Verified agent.

Why do you check agents by hand?

A person can read a profile, ask questions and use judgement. We think this is the right way to build trust, even though it takes more time.

What should I still check on my own?

Ask for RERA registration where it applies, see the property papers, get every promise in writing and visit the property. Our Buying Guide has a simple checklist.

What does "hyperlocal" mean?

It means knowing a small place very well: a lane, a society and the streets around it. We want to connect you with agents who have that kind of local knowledge.

Can I search by lane or society?

Not yet. Today you can browse verified agents and properties. Search down to the lane is our direction, and we are building it step by step.

Which cities does LocalAgent cover?

LocalAgent is growing area by area, with the aim of covering India. Availability depends on the area, so check the agents page to see who is listed near you.

What if I have a problem with an agent?

Please tell us through the Contact Us page. You can send a complaint in a minute, and our team will read it.
